24 gamified problem-solving tasks under one 36-minute countdown, spanning nine interactive formats: pattern grids to complete, bar charts to arrange, pie charts to adjust, calendars and schedule timelines to fill, a Gantt slider, a line graph, logic-room puzzles and a sorting task. Each task opens with a short scenario, then hands you the interactive chart, grid, calendar or timeline. Every task comes with a reasoned answer key.

Barclays’ forced-choice behavioural questionnaire: 75 sets of three statements about how you work. For each set, choose the statement that describes you best, then the better of the remaining two — the last is recorded as least like you. Untimed, with no right or wrong answers, and reproduced with the official questionnaire’s own quirks: the pacing prompts and the intentional repetition of similar statements.

Practice the Barclays online test under real conditions

Barclays screens its candidates with two very different assessments. The first is a gamified Cognitive Assessment that looks nothing like a classic reasoning test: 24 short scenarios, each resolved by interacting with a chart, grid, calendar or timeline – dragging bars into order, adjusting pie segments, placing tasks on a schedule, completing visual patterns – all against a single 36-minute countdown. 9 different task types means 9 different sets of mechanics to understand, and candidates who meet them for the first time in the real test pay for each discovery in minutes they cannot recover.

The second is the GSA, a 75-item forced-choice questionnaire with a mechanic of its own – best statement first, then the better of the two remaining – and a deliberate trap: statements repeat in near-identical forms throughout, and trying to remember your earlier answers is exactly the wrong strategy.

Our simulator reproduces both assessments in full: the nine cognitive task types with their real interactions and a reasoned answer key on all 24 tasks, and the complete 75-item GSA with the official questionnaire’s rules, pacing prompts and repetitions. You train until every mechanic is familiar and your GSA answers flow consistently — so on the one attempt the real tests give you, nothing on screen is new.
